Health & Safety

HFES requires all attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be admitted to the Annual Meeting. If you have registered and are unvaccinated or will not be fully vaccinated by September 28, 2022, please contact our meeting registrar at registration@meetingplanners.com to arrange for a registration substitution or to cancel your registration.

We do not have any provision to accommodate individuals who cannot receive the vaccine or choose to not be vaccinated for medical, religious, or other reasons. We will warmly welcome you to our virtual meeting and will refund you the difference between the live meeting and the virtual meeting fee. You also will have access to any presentations that are recorded at the in-person meeting.

If you are not feeling well you should immediately go to the Registration Desk, or return to your room and contact conference staff.  We also recommend you contact a friend/colleague at the conference who can also routinely check on you.

HFES is excited to host you during our in-person event for the 66th Annual Meeting and is committed to providing a safe environment at the annual meeting for attendees and staff. Our planning team closely monitors developments related to COVID-19 and the recommendations from both local and national health officials.

Given the substantial rate of cases and emerging variants, HFES has decided to require all attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be admitted to the Annual Meeting.  If you have registered and are unvaccinated or will not be fully vaccinated by September 28, 2022, please contact our meeting registrar at  registration@meetingplanners.com. With regard to in-person meeting attendance, we do not have any provision to accommodate individuals who cannot receive the vaccine or choose to not be vaccinated for medical, religious, or other reasons.
