The 2022 ErgoX Symposium takes place October 14 & 15 - immediately following the 66th Annual Meeting of HFES at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, GA, USA.
The goal of ErgoX is to improve safe and effective user technology adoption. ErgoX explores the latest in new technology and research, and its applications in human factors and ergonomics.
ErgoX will feature four concurrent tracks: Exoskeletons, Robotics, Cybersecurity, and our newest offering - Extended Reality.
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, founded in 1957, is the world’s largest scientific association for human factors/ergonomics professionals.
HFES provides education, builds connections, and advocates on behalf of human factors/ergonomics field—from students to researchers, and industry practitioners—and fosters collaboration across the spectrum of professionals to drive forward advances in human factors and ergonomics because HFES believes that the seamless connection between humans and systems, and the connection between research and application, is vital to keeping all human beings safe.
The mission of HFES is to advance the science and practice of designing for people in systems through knowledge exchange, collaboration, and advocacy.
About the ErgoX Symposium
First held in 2015 and over time formalizing into a user-centered design meeting in 2018, the ErgoX Symposium has demonstrated that a symbiotic approach to improving the design of technology and equipment is possible. With the goal to improve safe and effective technology user adoption, ErgoX offers a space to showcase the latest in technology evolution, research, and application and their intersection with human-system interaction and integration.
As an annual activity, ErgoX aims to address the demand for safe and effective technology development found through multi-disciplinary and cross-market collaboration of cognitive and physical research and their resulting application to end user technology adoption.
Delivering human-centric technology focused tracks, ErgoX creates practical, usable, and evidence-based solutions to the challenges faced by emerging technology producers/developers, consumers, and those that advocate between them. Always an environment for continuous product collaboration and improvement, attendees are sure to create and sustain connections with specialists from a diverse background, such as software development, information technology, hardware engineering, systems engineering, health and safety, security and defense, risk management, and of course human factors, ergonomics, and user experience (UX).
This year’s Symposium will deliver the latest research in the areas of Exoskeletons/Exosuits, Cybersecurity, Robotics, and Extended Reality.
